How To Be An Excellent Person

To be an excellent person, you can't think only about yourself. Always keep the phrase "actions speak louder than words" in mind. People want to see the good things you do rather than just hear about the type of person you want to be.

Instructions

  1. Start by being honest with yourself. To have others believe you're an excellent person, you have to believe it as well. Don't lie to yourself or others and keep a positive outlook on life. Somebody who is constantly pessimistic won't be seen in a positive light.
  2. Be open to not only teaching others, but learning from them as well. Understand that some people will know more about some things than you, so be interested in better educating yourself. This includes being able to listen to others and follow directions.
  3. Stick to the decisions you make. This means you need to think things out thoroughly before giving an answer or making a decision. If someone asks why you made the decision you did, you will need to be able to explain your reasoning.
  4. Welcome the idea of being part of a team no matter how small or large the task at hand is. Be willing to lend a hand without complaining. Stay late or come early if you know that others need help completing a task.
  5. Do a job to the best of your ability. Always put a full amount of effort into anything you're doing. If you aren't sure about something, ask questions. Like always, there are no stupid questions.
  6. Be polite, courteous and have a sense of humor. Throwing temper tantrums when things don't go your way isn't a quality others want to see in you.
